Itinerary Day 1: Stay at a hotel near Zhujiajian Pier a day in advance, wake up at five-thirty the next day to go to Wugongzhi Pier⛵️ to catch the earliest boat at six-fifty, which takes about two hours to arrive. First, head to the easternmost Dongfushan Island, settle your luggage at the homestay, have lunch, and take a nap; In the afternoon, around two or three o'clock, go out for a hike on the island. By four or five o'clock, the light will start to soften, making it perfect for photography📷, and from five to six o'clock, quietly enjoy the sunset; Day 2: Wake up at four-thirty with an alarm, walk for about ten minutes to the eastern rocks to wait for the sunrise. Personally, I think sunrise is the most beautiful time; the changes in light and shadow in just half an hour are astonishing. If you have multiple devices, I recommend using one for photos and another for time-lapse; After watching the sunrise, take a short nap, then catch the eight-thirty ferry to Miaozihu. After storing your luggage at the pier, take the island's circular bus to check off the sights one by one. The best view is at the last stop, the lighthouse. The middle spots feel average, so we skipped them, finishing the tour of Miaozihu in two hours! At twelve-thirty, take the boat back to Zhujiajian, where you can rest well for two hours on the boat to recharge for the afternoon! Store your luggage at Zhujiajian Pier and buy tickets for the ferry to Putuoshan🚢, arriving at Putuoshan at four o'clock in the afternoon; Putuoshan is actually quite large, and due to time constraints, we only visited three spots. First, we went to Puji Temple (which closes at five-thirty). After leaving Puji Temple, it’s just a hundred meters to Baibusha. We arrived just after five, right at sunset. The beach was neither hot nor cold, perfect for playing, and we had a great time there; By the time we rushed to the Nanhai Guanyin Buddha, it was already dark, and the scenic area was closed. We took a distant glance at the Bodhisattva under the golden night light and then headed back. The latest boat back to Zhujiajian leaves at ten, so we still had plenty of time. Features of each attraction: Dongfushan Island: A bit desolate, less commercialized, suitable for staying overnight to watch the sunrise and sunset. Miaozihu: No need to stay overnight; a two to three-hour bus tour is sufficient. Putuoshan: Initially, Putuoshan was not included in the itinerary, but the taxi driver suggested we check it out since we were from out of town, so we squeezed in some time to explore. It turned out to be quite nice, and there are many places we didn't visit. If it were a three-day, two-night trip, I would choose to spend a day here. Things to note⚠️ 1⃣️ About ferry tickets: Tickets for the ferry to Dongjidao🚢 need to be purchased three days in advance on "Zhiyou Haixing," with tickets released at five in the morning. Be sure to book at the right time. 2⃣️ About accommodation: Booking a homestay in advance may lead to issues, and booking upon arrival may incur a premium. It's recommended to book in advance during peak times, and at other times, compare several options before booking, and you can also negotiate the price. 3⃣️ About apps: It’s advisable to use an app to check sunrise and sunset times in advance, arriving at a good observation point twenty minutes early.
